At the prospect of turning 30 years old, lyricist-composer-librettist, Jonathan Larson, wrote a solo show about a songwriter who was at the edge of 30, at his crossroads: His girl wants to marry, his pal is a successful businessman, & "Jonathan" wants nothing less than to be a big noise in American musical theatre.
The show "Boho Days" was first performed by Jonathan in a workshop at Second Stage Theatre, Sept. 6-9, 1990. It was billed as a "rock monologue with band". He revised the developing piece & the title was changed to "tick, tick...BOOM!" & presented with Jonathan as performer in 1991 at the Village Gate, and then later in 1992 and 1993 in the "O Solo Mio" fests at New York Theatre Workshop. The Off-Broadway script is an adaptation by playwright David Auburn (Proof), drawing on Jonathan Larson's various drafts.
tick, tick...BOOM! is an intimate solo show that first emerged in 1990's. It finally got its world premiere June 13 2001 — in a revised three-actor version — at the Jane Street Theatre.
    The poster measures 14" x 22".
