    Description

The coin in the photos is the one you will receive.
In the 1600s, under Gustavus Adolphus, Sweden emerged as a world-power.
During the early 1700s, Carl (Charles) XII attempted to increase Sweden's regional
    hegemony
by a series of invasions -- one of which was a winter-time invasion of Russia in 1709.
After a crushing defeat, Sweden's economy was left ravaged. Carl XII decided (
    unsuccessfully
) to invade Norway in 1716, and to save money, these emergency issue coins were minted.
For a 300 year old coin, there is always going to be some oxidation/patina, unless of course the coin has been cleaned. This coin has not.
