    -->  This is an original Southern Pacific Railroad, Oregon Division, 1977 Safety Award belt buckle.  It measures 2 & 3/8 inches in diameter, and is made of brass.  The front reads, "Progress Through Safety - Southern Pacific," and the center shows an old steam locomotive, along with the words "Oregon Division."  The back is marked "1977 Safety Award," along with the maker's information, "Solid Brass - 00344 - Westword Mfg.  Portland, Oregon."  The buckle comes with an original Southern Pacific Shasta Region patch.
    CONDITION:  There are a few tarnished spots on the front of the brass buckle.  The patch is in good condition.
