ROCK ISLAND LINES (CHICAGO ROCK ISLAND & PACIFIC RR) c1900 STONEWARE JUG/CROCK
This stoneware water jug or crock was made for the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad. It is 10” tall and 6-3/4” in diameter; weight is over five pounds. The jug has a great logo-type “Rock Island Lines” mark on the side. Overall it is in excellent condition; there is a small chip at the top and two larger ones on the bottom edge at the back, which do not show when the piece is viewed from the front. I understand that these date from the early part of the 20th century. Buyer pays .00 shipping.
