Description
On page 204 of Hazel Marie Weatherman, Colored Glassware of the Depression Era 2, you will find the #5034 Crock from a 1938 brochure represented with a lid.THIS ONE HAS NO
LID.
Please remember that the 32 ource left over lid is a different size and does not quite fit this properly. This crock has a thick outer band of glass that surrounds the inside band and can be used as a wine chiller with ice in the bottom, a left over container or a mixing bowl. Manufactured by machine molding, this crock does have a rough mould seam on the outside lip, but there are no chips. Jeannette made their jadite in the same manner of McKee in that they melted down unsold Depression Green (that contained Thorium salts) and mixed it with unsold milk glass to form the opaque named jadite. Thorium salts that are used, glow under a black light as seen in the final photo. It measures 5.5" in diameter and is 4" tall. I ship only USPS Priority fully insured. This left over ships in a 7x7x7" container at 2 pounds 8 ounces. Thank you for looking.
