CONDITION:
We are pleased to offer for sale a pretty Jeannette delphite / delfite hand beater or mixer. The glass part of this piece is in
Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks.
There are a couple of sheer marks / straw marks, mold lines on the inside of the bottom.  These are not damage, but are simply the way this piece was made.  The metal chrome beater does have some age related wear.  There is a moderate amount of rust, and some pitting to the chrome finish. Our camera has enhanced the wear and it is not nearly as pronounced as our photo shows. It looks at least 25% worse in the pictures. The paint on the handle is in decent shape.  We
have not tried to clean the metal part.  I am sure navel jelly and a strong arm would improve the metal immensely.
The color of the glass beater bottom is outstanding.
Delfite /Delphite (Jeannette)

. Several companies made Delphite during the Depression Era, but one of the largest lines was produced by The Jeannette Glass Company. This beautiful line was produced in the 1930s and consisted of several different reamers, ribbed canisters with metal lids and square canisters with glass lids , round and rectangular leftover jars, a match holde
r, beater bowl with beater, both square and ribbed
shakers, and
horizontal
ribbed  and vertical ribbed mixing bowls. Jeannette made two of their major Depression Era dinnerware patterns to accompany this pretty kitchenware. You can find a complete dinner set in both Cherry Blossom and Swirl. McKee also made many pieces in delphite (although the color is a little lighter). Collectors of Jeannette Delphite usually collect the McKee Delphite items as well.
