Excellent condition Mens 100% pure wool MacGregor Hunting Modern tartan kilt. Made by renowned Scottish kilt makers Hector Russell from Inverness, Scotland.
This kilt has the colors and weave of the MacGregor clan showing their Hunting Modern design.
I have shown , in some of the listing photos, the sizing in inches of the waist, fully extended and also the drop from waist to hemline.
It is a perfect fit if you wear your kilt with a 36” waist but as we all know our waistline measurements can extend a bit, especially during the holiday season, so using the two leather straps that secure the waist on the kilt and comfortably be worn up to 38” waist.
The drop or waistline to hem is 27.5”. This kilt is made for the taller gentleman or if you have long legs. The usual drop on a kilt is 25” .
To know, or measure the required drop that you need is very easy.
Kneel on the floor with your torso and upper body in an upright position. Kneeling like this your kilt should very gently graze or hover just above the floor and not be touching the floor.
The measurement from your waist, or where you like to have your kilt to sit, to the floor is your drop measurement you need. Or from your waist to the top of your knee caps.
This kilt s made with 100% pure wool, not to be mistaken for many kilts I have seen online advertising as wool but are a wool acrylic blend or are all acrylic. The difference is like night and day with this 100% pure wool kilt being an investment to be worn for many years and could even become your heritage piece to be handed down through generations to come.
The weight in this kilt makes the pleats really swing and dance as you walk.
If you have to clean this kilt it has to be dry cleaned, do not try to do it in your washing machine at home as I can assure you that your will regret doing so lol.
