1880 SWEDEN Silver KRONA of King OSCAR II Low Mintage JUST 177,121 PIECES STRUCK
    Description
This is a scarce, very low mintage, silver,
    "One Krona"
from Sweden. It was struck at the Stockholm mint in 1880 during the reign
of Oscar II who ruled as King of Sweden from 1872 until his death on December 8, 1907 and as King of Norway from 1872 until Norway separated peacefully from Sweden on October 26, 1905.
Sweden struck this basic type of silver One Krona with nine different dates between 1877 and 1889. This 1880 coin had the fourth lowest mintage with 177,121 pieces. None of the dates are common, the highest mintage coming in 1881 with still only 619,147 pieces.
    Weight: 7.46 Gram, 25 Millimeter, .800 Silver. Mintage: 177,121.
As a comparison, the famous 1909-S V.D.B. Lincoln Cent had a mintage of 484,000 pieces.

    The Coin:
A very presentable coin, it passed through some hands, one of which cleaned it long ago. It shows honest wear and it has the normal marks and scratches. As grading is subjective please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
